Night Safari, the world's first wildlife park for nocturnal animals is an eight-time winner of the Best Visitor Attraction Experience, awarded by Singapore Tourism Board. Over 1,000 animals from 115 species (of which almost 30% are threatened) inhabit the 40-hectare park.
In line with its mission to promote biodiversity, the park focuses on the captive breeding of threatened species. Over the years, it has bred Malayan tigers, Asian elephants, Malayan tapirs and Asian lions, among other endangered species. Night Safari is part of Wildlife Reserves Singapore and is a designated wildlife rescue centre by the governing authority.

Lau Pa Sat (or "old market" in the Hokkien dialect) was Singapore's first wet market with 150 years of history. It has been gazetted as a national monument since 1973 and was subsequently converted into a famous gourmet paradise food center which offers authentic local and international cuisine. At night, the side street is closed to traffic and transformed into "Satay Street" with stalls that grill and serve satay in the open air, hawker store - the old fashioned way.
